This course is designed as a foundational pathway for those seeking to work in the hospitality sector within Australia. This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have a defined and limited range of hospitality operational skills and basic industry knowledge.

The course consists of theory & practical training, followed by an assessment day which consists of both written & practical components.

This qualification provides a foundational pathway into the hospitality sector, allowing individuals to gain essential skills for various roles. Certificate holders are well-equipped to pursue a variety of roles in the hospitality sector, encompassing working in restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops.

Compliance and Standards: It is crucial that the skills obtained in this qualification are in line with legislation at both the Commonwealth and State/Territory levels, as well as Australian standards and industry codes of practice. Adherence to these guidelines ensures the application of industry best practices and legal standards in hospitality operations.

Licensing and Certification: As of the current publication, no specific occupational licensing, certification, or legislative requirements are associated with this qualification. It is recommended that candidates confirm any additional requirements with relevant regulatory bodies in the state or territory they intend to work in. 

Appropriate clothing and covered shoes or boots, food and drinks.  This course is covered in both a face to face & online learning environment. Applicants must be at least 17 years of age and will be 18 years old at the completion of your course. This will allow you to be able to work within the industry serving alcohol.

There are no preparation requirements for this course.

All enrolments are considered tentative until payment has been received. Full course fee must be paid within 48 hours of enrolment.

Upon successful completion participants will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment of SIT20322.

Occupational Titles may include: Food & Beverage Attendant, Barista & Café Service, Function Attendant.
